What is the ChurchOpsHub SMS program?

ChurchOpsHub is a cloud-based platform that helps churches manage volunteer job shifts. The ChurchOpsHub SMS program sends volunteers two kinds of opt-in text message: (1) a reminder on the morning of any shift they have personally signed up for, and (2) an optional once-daily summary of newly posted shifts at their own church. Each is a separate, unchecked-by-default opt-in. The goal is simple: reduce no-shows and help volunteers find shifts that fit.

What messages will I receive?

You choose which texts you receive through two separate, unchecked-by-default options in your account settings:

• Shift reminders — a reminder the morning of any shift you have personally signed up for.
• New-shift alerts — a once-daily summary of newly posted shifts at your church, so you can sign up for ones that fit.

You will not receive marketing or promotional messages of any kind. Example messages we send:

How often will I be messaged?

Frequency depends on which options you enable and your church's activity. Shift reminders arrive only for shifts you sign up for; new-shift alerts are sent at most once per day, and only on days new shifts were posted. A typical volunteer receives 1–7 messages per week. With neither option enabled, you receive no messages.

Are there charges?

ChurchOpsHub does not charge you to receive these texts. Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Contact your carrier for details.

How do I opt in?

The only way to opt in to ChurchOpsHub SMS is to:

1. Create or sign in to your ChurchOpsHub account at churchopshub.com.
2. Navigate to Settings → My Profile → SMS Job Texts.
3. Enter your mobile phone number.
4. Read the consent disclosure shown beside the checkboxes (full text below).
5. Check "Shift reminders," "New-shift alerts," or both.
6. Click Save.

This is exactly what the opt-in consent form looks like inside ChurchOpsHub. No message is ever sent to a phone number until the user has personally entered it here and checked at least one option:

Messages are not sent to any phone number that has not completed this in-app consent flow. You can also revoke consent at any time by clearing your phone number in Settings, unchecking the options, or replying STOP to any message.

How do I get help?

Reply HELP to any message and you will receive a reply with our support contact. You can also email churchopshub@gmail.com at any time.

How do I stop receiving messages?

You can stop receiving ChurchOpsHub SMS at any time by any of the following methods, all of which take effect immediately:

• Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any ChurchOpsHub SMS. (This stops all ChurchOpsHub texts.)
• In the app, go to Settings → My Profile and uncheck either or both options.
• In the app, clear your phone number entirely.

To re-subscribe after a STOP, reply START to the same number, or re-enable an option in Settings.

Privacy and terms

We do not share or sell your phone number with third parties. We do not use your phone number for marketing or advertising. The phone number is used solely for the SMS reminder program described on this page. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service (Section 7 in both documents covers SMS).
